- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil

To Finish
- 4 spring onions, sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds

Method
Step 1 β Prepare the Beef
Slice the steak into thin strips against the grain.
Pat dry with kitchen paper.
Toss thoroughly with the cornflour.
Step 2 β Create the Sauce
Mix together the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.
Set aside.
Step 3 β Heat the Forge
Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat.
Step 4 β Sear the Beef
Cook the beef in batches.
Allow it to develop colour and crisp edges.
Remove and set aside.
