Adventurer’s Notes
Every respected tavern has its own steak recipe, and the secret often begins long before the meat reaches the fire. This marinade is designed to enhance quality beef with layers of savoury flavour while allowing the steak itself to remain the star of the feast.
Storage
Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Once used to marinate raw meat, discard any leftover marinade.
Merchant’s Tip
For the best crust, remove the steak from the marinade, gently pat it dry with kitchen paper and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking. This helps achieve a beautifully caramelised exterior while keeping the inside perfectly juicy.
