πŸ“œ Lore of the Hoard

The settlements along the Darkwater River have long relied on preserved meats to survive harsh winters. Gammon became a prized ingredient among the Black Dragon clans because it could feed entire households with ease. During the Festival of Falling Leaves, great gammon joints are lowered into bubbling cauldrons of cider and herbs, filling the valley with aromas that can be detected for miles. Many believe the smell alone is enough to summon hungry adventurers from the surrounding wilderness. βš«πŸ‰
