Leave for 15 minutes while preparing the vegetables.<\/li><li>Heat the vegetable oil in a large deep frying pan. Add the sweet potato with 3 tbsp water, cover and cook for 6 minutes.<\/li><li>Add the onion, cabbage and marinated chicken. Cook uncovered for 12\u201315 minutes, stirring regularly.<\/li><li>Add the rice cakes, if using, and a splash of water. Cook for 4\u20135 minutes until the chicken is cooked and the sauce clings to everything.<\/li><li>Finish with spring onions and sesame seeds.
